Inviting tenderness for toughness.

Between mind

body & land

From the teachings of my Grandfather, I came to know the gifts of nature; its lessons, its care, and its warmth to heal. Watching him at a knee-height age in his worn Dickies safety shoes tending and nurturing the tomatoes, runner beans, and peppers in his greenhouse and running down the garden path with them fresh in a brown paper bag to gift to Nanny for her casserole, I experienced the gift of reciprocity; that we can heal and nurture nature, as much as it heals and nurtures us.

To cultivate a healthy connection with the Earth,

we need to tend to our rooted connection to

all living things to act with loving kindness.

  • Larkfield Way

Exploring the wonder of Garden spaces as communities of hope, regeneration and generosity through observing my Grandfather’s wisdom and care of his plants in his Greenhouse at Larkfield Way.

  • Eutierria | To belong to the Earth

Nurturing our rooted connection to the Earth to provide spaces of tenderness and warmth for our emotions to be heard and healed.

Mindful Photography Walk

TBC

Date and location to be announced soon…

I invite you to join me in a mindful photography walk to take the time in the wonders of the natural world. Open to all levels of experience.

Luke Spencer is a visual artist and writer based on the South Coast of England. In his creative practice he centre’s these personal experiences of communing with nature. He looks to engage with our sensory relationship with nature through a curiosity of how mindfulness approaches, such as somatic dance, and regenerative methods can benefit our health and connection to the Earth. As well as providing a space for difficult emotions such as anxiety to be better understood and eased, and to be given a place for emotions to be heard and healed.

'Nature can be a medicine for our broken relationship with the Earth, a pharmacopeia of healing stories that allows us to imagine a relationship in which people and land are good medicine for each other'.

Robin Wall Kimmerer

A space of warmth, tenderness and vulnerability.

In his creative practice Luke aims to facilitate hopeful and tender spaces where our emotions can be heard and healed. He is open to all forms of collaboration with like-minded creatives looking to restore the Earth and our broken relationship with the Planet, including dancers, musicians and visual artists.

He is often found walking the coastal paths of Dorset and The New Forrest where you are invited to join him for mindful Photography walks and talks to nurture our connection with the wonders of nature.

Dance and movement are magical gifts that allow us to connect with our senses boosting both our health and wellbeing. I’d loved to connect with dance and movement artists who explore somatic processes, to deepen my understanding of how these regenerative processes can help nurture our relationship with the Earth.
